Welcome, I am Michele Carden-Gayles, President of Mu Omicron Chapter of Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, Inc.
As President of Mu Omicron, I am proud to be associated with Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, Inc. and honored to continue the legacy of service established by our Founders. Mu Omicron is a chapter comprised of phenomenal professional and business women from diverse backgrounds with a variety of talents who embrace sisterhood, mentorship, academic achievement and who are motivated for continuous community service.

 


Mu Omicron Chartering Members

Mu Omicron Chapter was chartered on May 24th, 1997 in Arlington, Virginia. Seven phenomenal Women envisioned the power of sisterhood, professionalism, community outreach, academic achievement and the longevity of this great organization, Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, Inc.  The Chartering Members of Mu Omicron Chapter are; Monica Brooks, Avis B. Johnson, Tawana Keys, Denise Pinchback, Mary Porter, Lenor Reese, and Jessie Watson. Immediately following the establishment of Mu Omicron, Carolyn Bledsoe, Jestine Parker, Betty Reaves and Gwendolyn Walker transferred to the chapter.

It has been these same standards, that set the foundation in the beginning, that continue to keep Mu Omicron Chapter dedicated to its growth, professionalism, mentorship, the embrace of sisterhood and  empowering women and inspiring leaders. Since its inception, Mu Omicron has 42 active members to date.
