Social Action Program

Social Action: Promote improvement of the quality of life shaped by social conditions. It is the fifth element of our National Five Point Program MEEPS. Mu Omicron supports our communities by improving the quality of life shaped by social conditions. We continue to be in our communities helping to shape the lies of others who are in need.
We do this by organizing community service events and making generous donations to organizations within our community. We continue to cultivate our current partnerships and build new partnerships within our community.
Mu Omicron participates in our National Observances to ensure the focus of shaping social conditions within communities are not lost. This falls under the auspices of the Social Action committee. Those observances include:

Mu Omicron participates in our National Observances to ensure the focus of shaping social conditions within communities are not lost. This falls under the auspices of the Social Action committee. Those observances include:
- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Birthday observed in the month of January;
- Dr. Catherine E. Bozeman Month of Kindness - Special recognition and service to seniors observed in the month of March;
- Go to Church Sunday, an opportunity to enhance sisterhood through a shared inspirational worship service experience, this event is observed in the month of (April/May); and
- National Day of Service, an opportunity to serve our communities as one body united in service, observed October
